Alright, im looking at my first GN and its a 87 t tops with black and gray interior and a fresh motor. Now is there anything i should look for on these cars to see if its worth buying or not? I know they are good for rust on the deck lid and clear coat peeling.

Thanks!

If it's a t-top car, look closely at the floor of the car (under the carpet if possible...)...The t-tops are known to leak and the floors can be rusted and may need some work, if not replacing...

Claude.

Correct me if I am wrong. I thought gn's were not basecoat/clearcoat from the factory. I think that car was repainted.

PLEASE... Read that Buyers Guide, and take a good TR guy along with you like suggested. Cars that looked great up top, horriffic on the bottom.

correct. All Turbo Regals were a single stage Lacquer from the factory, and a lot of the Gns had terrible black paint, some even had overspray from other colored cars on the assembly line. I have a 2-owner 61k mile car with original paint and you can see some silver metallic overspray in the hood and header panel to this day.
