What trans is in my 84 Regal?

This is just my daily driver car..3.8 v6 3 speed auto..for some odd reason it doesn't shift right if you leave it in D but as long as I manually shift it, it works fine..just wondering what this trans is and if the D5 that I took out of my 87 GN would interchange...

TH200-C or something like that, my old 85 Regal had one. I think they had D7s, not sure, not an expert by any means. HTH

it is a 200c and yes the 2004r in the 87 will work. You just need to change the lock up connector and or go to a lock up control system. Crossmember will need to be changed too. All else will work.
