I have a ta49 turbo on it now an wondered if I need a little more? I have 55lb injectors, 212 218 cam, little porting to heads an intake just to clean them up. Stock rods, pistons, throttle body, rockers, crank, arp head bolts, front mount intercooler, 3000 stall converter, stock rear end. Not planning on running alky but i might change that. Just want to get the car right before I take it to get tuned and put on the dyno. I'd like to just do it once.

Forgot to add I had a cpt66bb for the car just seemed to have some lag to it, don't know if I can change housings or something? Or if its just too big for my combo? Once it's in boost it comes alive just takes a bit to get it in, might also be because the car is not tuned right?

You need more than a ta49 if you want to come close to using the potential of the other parts. I have a 62 billet that will spool faster than your 66 and support as much power or more. I could also get you a Garrett .63 for your 66 and it will spool quite a bit faster than it does now

The ta49 I am running 18 lbs and the 66 I ran 15 was little scared to run more than that being so big.

Bison what would 62 cost? Take one or both on trade?

At those boost levels youre not going to be running even the 49 out of breath. Bigger doesnt mean more power. Sending PM

I understand that. Just wanting to make combo work well together and have potential for later if I put alky on, which is looking like not an option at the boost levels I want to run

The Tnetics 66 should spool great with that converter. You have the .63 tnetics housing right?
Check and make sure your puck is sealing.
