The guy that owned my car before me did it manually with a tool through the wastegate....Would I have to put it back to the stock boost first??? does it interfeer with my Chips that I have??
I was going to post the same question ....I just got a 3" down pipe with a external wast gate and the boost controller he gave me is a manual one
I guess for the money and all I want it to do is control the boost from inside the car ....BstC would be the better choice for me...
"my1stgn"...do you use the 2 levels of boost control it has...Like one for the street and the other for race...Can you do that with it or did I read the web site wrong..
also how touchy is the knob..and is there some kind of safety button you got to push then turn the knob...
I would hate for some person to get in the car and they think its some kind of small amp for the radio...lol..
Well the two levels are for a seperate "trigger" like say you have boost level set @ 20 psi, then you could set your second boost level trigger for say 3rd gear. Then set your second boost down to around 16-17psi so when you hit 3rd gear and your reach a higher load, your boost will drop down to around 16-17 psi to prevent any type of damage.
The knob is adjustable while driving. So if your on the street you could turn the knob down and your boost will be less, say around 17psi (I also run Alky) and then when I go to the track I turn it up to around 22-24 psi. The knob is not touchy but if your at WOT then you could turn the knob and see the boost go up! Its pretty cool! You could also set when the BSCT kits in to control boost. Hope this helps!
