My Dad has this 05 Chevy Silverado 3500, 8100 engine with the Allison trans, every option(Supernice truck), and as of yesterday it only has 7K miles. Im always givin him a hard time about never driving it, so he finally takes my mother out to the Outback steakhouse and then to see a movie next door. He parked well away from other cars so they wouldnt door ding it and when he came out, he noticed that some low-life bottom feeding weasel keyed the entire drivers side of the truck. This was the truck that he talked about owning since I was 7 or 8, and now at this point he just wants to get it fixed and dump it. It scares me to think what I would have done to anyone, 13 year old kid or grown adult if I had seen that happening. I had my Saturn keyed in a hospital lot last year and it really didnt bother me for more than an hour cuz its a beater everyday driver but Dads truck is crazy badass, I guess some people are just animals. So what would U do if u caught them or him in the act?

Some people are just ****heads my GN got egged a couple months ago by what must have been frozen eggs, the hood is chipped and spiderwebed bad where one egg hit and the drivers door is the same. Not only that but I slept late and it baked on eating away the clearcoat in a couple places. I am unhappy to say the least and even now typing makes me furious My car probably just lost 5k in value from some *******s idea of fun. I also have reason to believe that it was someone I know because it was parked deep in my driveway with plenty of other vehicles around to hit yet mine is the only one and a good friend of mines truck was egged on the same night.

I first have to say I understand your feelings as I used to think like that.

With that said, it's just a truck(Your dream truck I'll give you). I was anal like that when my T was new. My priorities have changed. There are some real undesirables in this world and you have had a run in with them. What they did wasn't right but you playing judge and jury doesn't fit either. That's what insurance is for. Get it fixed.

This is one of the reasons I buy used now(That and I have kids who seem to be able to destroy almost anything). The first ding and scratches are already there so I don't worry about it.

Get the truck painted and don't leave it anywhere. People suck, don't trust anyone. If you have something nice they will F#ck it up as soon as they have a chance. Best car to have is good interior, good engine and chassis and primered body. Guarantee no one will key it, park it in the front row looks like a beater, but still safe and comfortable. Parked my T when it was three months old for two hours, got keyed Kept the foot long key scratch for eighteen years and never had another scratch or ding. Then I hit bambi got car painted, now it's sleeping in the garage. Only roams at night and never parks :biggrin:

I was at a Northern Illinois U football game. There was a Ferrari parked right by the entrance to the field. And it was covered with spit from people walking by. Talk about no class. I could see damaging your enemies car if he had it coming. But not someone just because he has a nice car.

My old boss used to tell a story about his brother parking way out in the parking lot to avoid door dings with his newer truck. One day he parks out by himself at a store and some low life in a beatup truck parks next to him. They are both getting out of their trucks and the low life swings the door into his truck and says "Don't you hate it when someone does that." The brother is 6'8" and wants to kick the **** out of the guy but doesn't. His brother went in, did his shopping and came back out to find the beat up truck still there and no one around

He started getting into his truck and saw a ratchet. So He grabbed it and broke every light on the outside of the truck and got in his truck and drove off. He kept expecting a cop to pull up behind him on his way home but it was before parking lot cameras and cell phones were popular, so nothing came of it.

Of course he also was the type of guy that asked women what size their chest was when they asked him how tall he was.

last saturday 9/23 i get up to go to work & some a-hole teenagers introduced an egg to my VETTE, what pisses me off is that you cant catch them in the act! if ever catch them in the act, im getting my revenge legally & illegally and if their parents dont like it ill just tell them its your fault you didnt teach your kids to respect other peoples property !

Back when I was in HS, seniors parked in the school lot. Well, since I wasnt a member of the jocks back then, I wasnt too popular. So, one day I come out to find my hood dented and smashed in. I heard through the grapevine that some kids had come off the the football field and one jumped on my hood WHILE the phys ed teacher was around. Did he bother to do anything? No.
Did I get revenge...yeah. Last day of school, I found the punk walking downtown with his homies. I had some friends lean out the window of my car as I pulled up and we dumped some nasty stuff on him right in front of his teammates. Lets just say it was a mix of ice cold water, and some really nasty smelling crap. He was pretty much cast out after that, because everyone saw it happen!
And as for the phys ed teacher, it was ironic how, in my senior yearbook, they took his picture for it with my Buick sitting in the background...lol.
Oh, and this punk kid also lost his very hot GF, who I happened to be friends with. That was the best part!! :biggrin:
