You might find out that it goes slower with tires then without.With 2.73 gears some slipping of the tires probibly helps you stay more in the power band.With slicks or DR's it may bog bad and actually slow the car down even though you are putting out more power because of the 100 hp shot.

More power and more traction does not always mean quicker quarter mile times.
