What's it take to replace front pump?

Need to know if I can do it? I think my front pump is gone and would like to try that before I get the tranny rebuilt. Tranny was shifting fine before my problem started. Anyway any info would be great! Thanks

No one felt like spending an hour typing to explain.

You need a special puller, which can be fabricated. Details of how to do this are in the ATSG manual, you can get a manual from Bruce. Anyone considering working on there own trannie should get one before starting.

I would recommend getting a complete pump from Bruce. If you disassemble your pump the halves must be aligned with a large pipe clamp, again in ATSG.
