was wondering what you would call the finish on the alum t-type wheels?clearcoat,anodizing,or some other finish?trying to reproduce that same "rainbow"effect that was on wheel when new(and hopefully last longer)thank you in advance jim
 
The wheels have a clearcoat finish on them originaly. Here is a pic of 1 of my restored wheels that has been recleared.

what type of clear did you use?was it from the 2 stage paint process and if so any temp issue from braking?thanks jim
 
I think the best results come from using a Urethane clear. It holds up well & gives them a nice look.

You can also have them powder coated with clear. With the price of paint today that might be a cheaper way to go.
