My friend and I are working on the body and paint right now for my '87 Olds and in the process, we're notching the frame in the rear 1".
The plan is to fit a pair of 18x10's or 10.5's with 295/35ZR18 tires.
That seems to be fairly straight forward.
My question is the what size to run in the front?
I currently have 17x8" American Racing Hopster wheels all around with 4" back spacing.
On the front I have 245/45ZR17 Yokohama A520's and the rears are 255/45ZR17 Yokohama's also.
I found a scan of the May 2000 issue of GM High Tech Performance with Heath Elmer's GNX. It says he's running 18x9.5" wheels up front with 265/35R18 tires.
Has anyone else used this size? I'd imagine it would rub pretty bad in tight radius turns but I can deal with that. Does anyone know what the back spacing was on his wheels?
Thanks for the help!
