Has anyone seen the car show called Wheeler Dealers? It's about two guys in U.K. (mike Brewer and Edd China) who find cheap classics from the 70's 80's and 90's from private sellers and they fix them up to put back on the road. They have a self set budget to get the car and parts/materials to get the car back in shape with the help of mechanic Edd China. They sometimes have to outsource paint work or other things that require professional help, but Edd does most of the work himself. When they are done, they advertise and sell it for a very modest profit, if any. Their main goal is to get the car back on the road for someone to enjoy and if they make a little money, they use it on the next project.
If you can get past the accents and terminology (bonnet vs hood, shiny bits vs. chrome) it is an enjoyable show. They haven't done a G-body yet, but the last show I watched they were fixing up an 84 Corvette.
