When to calibrate wide band O2

Mine did the same thing....LC1 is junk. Customer service is too. Go with AEM or PLX and be done worrying about this very important tuning device. Many threads on this subject.

innovate is junk they dont even use the calibration resistor that bosch kindly laser trimed for precision accuracy they have random errors and require regular sensor replacement when theres nothing at all wrong with the sensor. they only need free air calibration due to not using the calibration resistor.i have an LM1 its been nothing but trouble and ive bought a few sensors.i now exclusively use 14point7.com wideband units that never need free air calibrating bonus is i have heaps of spare good sensors now alan the candian designer of the 14point7 units has done a damn good job bringing good quality cost effective widebands to the market after seeing the short commings of the other brands definately worth a look

Packaging for that WB looks similar to the NGK AFx. I agree with you on the Innovate WB. I could not get that to work right at all.

Wow. I didn't know that. What do you guys think about the LC2? It's supposed to have all sorts of improvements on it.


At any rate I ordered another sensor, plus some heat shielding for the wire coming out of it as well. Can't take any chances this time. The last sensor was exposed to quite a bit of heat, and a rich tune, so I think we'll try a different approach this time. About halfway thru the last sensor's life, I started running a heat sink. This time I'll be a lot more leaner, and it will start life with a heat sink right out of the gate. We'll see what happens.

Ditch it and go with the other brands mentioned. I had like 5 sensors and only a hundred miles on mine. Now I have a PLX that installed in minutes and has been on the same sensor for over a year and not one problem yet.
