When to set fuel pressure ?

Do you set the fuel pressure on start up when car is cool , or after everything is nice and warmed up ? Mine reads 5lbs less after a good ride. Thanks Robert E.
 
Note that a liquid filled gauge is only accurate at room temperature. So don't leave one connected to the fuel rail while warming up the engine.

Take a reading cold and hot with the line off. It should be the same. Yours is too high.
 
buick rob, are you checking the fuel pressure with the vacuum line disconnected?
