I need some new rears for my widened stock rears and I can't find crap in a non-DR that's around 275/50-15

What's everybody running now, these ancient Radial T/A's has gots to go. I'm sliding all over the place :D

From what I can tell it's going to be either the Coopers or the way expensive Mickey Thompsons. I just hate to buy a 10" wide tire with 8" of tread width.

and I'd REALLY hate to find a tires with 10" of tread and put he sidewalls into my frame!

Hankook Ventura: 275/60/15 on my car.

I'm thinking that's what I'm going to end up trying. My rims are on the skinny side of spec for those tires so I'll have to run lower air pressure (by by gas mileage) and that might help pull in my section width and keep them off the frame. When I had my wheels widened I added another 1/4 of backspace to the stock diminutions. Seems like I have less than a centimeter with my 275/50 radial TAs.

U can get these 26 by 12 M/T sportsman.

The 295/50's will be about 12.4" in width. 255/60's on a 10" will give you about 11.4" of width. That is what I have on my car. Really like that look, don't know your backspace or spring height but the 295's will require some mods, IF you want to keep it tucked.

I have T/A's BTW. 10" GN rim with 5.5" BS and 1/8" spacer (which I probably don't need). No rolled lips and no notch. Lowered with Eibach's.

What size are your rims?

My rims are 1" wider than stock with an extra 1/4 of BS. I wanna say 8.5" rims now but I've never put a rule on them to see the difference between actual and rated.

That's what scares me about buying tires. My axle is centered on the frame and so is my body. With alum drums my 275/50 radial T/A's don't rub. I hate to order over $300 in tires just to find out they don't fit.....

....but I also hate the idea of getting a "10"" tire with only 8.5 inches of tread :(

I don't think they make any non-DR 275/50 15's anymore. You could always go with 255/60/15's. It will be a little taller than what you have, about 27.1" I had them on 7" stock rims and did not rub at all. Your tire will be about .4" wider than mine (every 1/2" increase in rim width nets you .2" in tire width).

255/60s are a nice compromise for size. Many street tire brands available.

LOL, 15" tires used to be the "big boys" back when, now they're like the 13" tires from "back when"
Their getting very tough to find in the size yah need, in the brand you want!

I put Nittos 555R's on mine and you can actually drive in the rain if necessary. Not so much with the MT's. You can see them in this clip...

Are Eagle ST's still available?

Doesn't look like they are.....
