I know Steve said to plug into the 12 volt IGN. in the fuse box, but I noticed that every time I turn off the car & restart it, I have to change my digital dash from Kilometers to MPH & liters back to gallons. Just wondering where you plugged yours in at?
My SMC kit is the newer one that doesn't have the fuse that Steve provided in the older kits. It's just a straight blade that plugs into the fuse box.

Thanks,The Darkside

My T-Type doesn't do that with the digital dash and I have it plugged into the 12v IGN. Sounds like your dash is loosing battery power for a second? Humm... Does it do it when its not plugged in there?

Good question, I'll check that out tomorrow morning & post my findings.
I had the older version SMC kit & didn't have this problem,I just installed this updated kit & that's when it started screwing up.

I've got a 2 month old SMC kit installed in a digital dash car.

Doesn't do that.

Fuse box IGN terminal.

Just my .02.

That pump does draw a bit of current and a bad/loose connection on the dash power or ground could be a problem.

I wanted to use a Ign. triggered relay and hot line to the battery directly but Steve said just use the IGN terminal.

Well, it turned out to be something very simple....A blown fuse!!!I should have checked that first, because after further checking, I noticed my radio was not keeping time, my power antenna wasn't working etc.. I havn't been really listening to the radio when I'm driving these past few weeks,I've been enjoying the whistling turbo sound!!!
