It's been a year since the motor was out. Had most things marked with a sharpie written on duct tape. But after over a year, they pretty much disolved. I know the four on the passenger side. I put all on the head. I just saw that two go on the head and other two on bell housing. (Will it matter?) if so, which go where? The real question is the other ones,(they come out of the wiring harness around the middle at back of block. I think there are 5 with a bigger bolt holeand one with a small one. Will they go on the block too, or the frame.
Thanks for any help.

i thought there were 2 in the harness and 2 separate brass style loom grounds?

you can always relocate the 2 grounds on the back of the pass head to the back intake bolt using a STUD, allowing the ground wire to be wedged between the washer and nut instead of using a stock intake bolt-
these are the grounds that cause low 02 volts when unplugged at WOT.

the big red ones down by the frame go to the pos of the starter correct!?!!?!?!? make sure they are the long wires in the harness on the pass side

I did totally forget about the starter. Do all four big hole wires go to the starter? The wiring diagram (gnttype.org) looks like four wires to the big post on starter and the little one on smaller post.
Correct?
If I already have the four ground wires on the head, is that all right?
Or should I move two (which two) to the bell housing?

as your harness dangles down, there are 7 wires and they have 4 lugs located right up top where the heater box goes.

Those are the ones you want to relocate to the back of the intake manifold with a stud- just a piece of all thread and 2 nuts and few washers-

the LONGEST wires that probably were laying on the ground all this past year go to the starter- they are 2 lugs that are large one set of wires has 2 resistors that power up the relays on the drivers side, and one small ilet lug goes to S on the starter-

Dont forget to wire in your positive cable from the battery!

I've been working on the turbo and intercooler. I still have the four wires with larger holes and the one with a smaller one. I know where the small one goes on the starter, but do the other four go on the other bolt on the starter, or just two? The are all about the same length to reach the starter.

Where do the battery cable ends go. Negative:does it connect to frame or block? Positive; one to starter and the others?

Neg to block, turbo bracket area I THINK, where the large T bracket bolts to the block, 1 is a bolt, 1 is a stud I THINK

the RED 10 guage wires with the resistors "little 1 inch long black insulated capsule" go to the starter. the small lug one goes to the starter on S to start it, the POSITIVE cable goes to the large lug on the starter to give it power.

the GROUND wire goes to the upsided down turbo J bracket. this is the bracket that helps hold the turbo in place and allows you to bolt on your turbo shield.
Ground cable goes to the lower bolt hole where the J bracket bolts to the head with a bolt into each hole, no stud.

are you sure that all your wires with the lugs are the same length? as in, are you sure that your ground lugs up by the heater can actually reach the starter? i dont think they are even long enough to reach that far, so there this should be straight forward, the longest wires are the ones that reach the starter go to the starter. :)
