I connected the hose from the turbo to the waste gate (the hose is long, im gonna cut it), now do I run the hose to the solenoid by the passenger head with a y connector? If so where do I get the wire connector from, I read its a special connector

You can find the y-vacuum line connectors at any autoparts store such as oreilly's, autozone, etc.
They aren't special order and aren't expensive.

You mentioned a wire connector, where did you see mention of that?

Sorry I meant y-connector (auto correction on phone). Do I need to ask for the y-connector with a restriction in it or just get the regular one?

Better ,not long enough to go under the header ?where dose the other cable go,one to battery , one to chassis ?
Did you find the post on you wast gate pluming? And get it sirted out

The Y most definitely has a restrictor. A common error is tossing the factory Y when replacing the vacuum hoses and using a standard one in its place. Won't work properly. There are TR vendors that have the proper replacements.

The other one goes to the battery. Previous owner had it connected to the turbo so gn family told me to move it to the passenger head. Does this pose a problem?

:greedy: $91 shipped!

Precisely why you don't want to discard that Y fitting. Vacuum hose is cheap.

with that external (ATR) wastegate, you should probably not hook up the solenoid. just leave it the way it is for now.

you need a hose running from the turbo to the wastegate with no other doodads, and see if the wastegate is controlling boost.

any decent engine bolt is ok for the battery ground.

Do you have a boost gauge? The factory dash gauge is not very accurate.

You need to make sure your boost stays under control, i.e. under 20 psi, as we continue troubleshooting.

I found something else not hooked up. Any idea where this hooks up?

Its sitting under the wiper motor. I thought it was the speedo cable but that looks like it to the left of the cable im referring to
