Would like to replace my 3" chrome intake pipe between the MAF and the turbo with a flexible one. I'm not much into chrome, it requires four clamps instead of two, and it's always a hassel to keep from rubbing the alternator bracket. Also would prefer the black up-pipe (solid of course) instead of chrome. Anyone know where to get the kinds I'm talking about?

intake pipe

Only dryer hose I've ever seen is that paper thin plastic stuff wraped around a thin spiraled wire. Has to be a lot beefyer than that. Also must be black.

Brake cooling hose from Jegs. JEGS Brake Ducting - JEGS

Powder coat/paint the stock up pipe black. Fab a new metal intake pipe (that clears the alt.) and have it powder coated/painted black.

I'm sure someone will gladly trade you up pipes.

I have a 3" piece of reinforced hose better than the braking type, also have a black powdercoated uppipe-i will try to send pics tomorrow-$65. shipped for both.

Thanks anyway, really don't want to spent a bunch, just looking for a little different setup and a place to buy a piece of 3" flex......the stock pipe (if it's 3" and newish) would be fine.
