I went to our local hyd hose shop and they did not have any flexible enough hose with teflon lining to use in my alky kit. Are there any mail order shops where you can get this from at a reasonable price?
I need 3/8" for the suction side and probably 1/4" for the discharge side?

ME :D

#6 teflon for the feed, #4 teflon for the pressure.

Fittings are pricey..hose isnt too bad.

Razor, is it real flexible? I would need 3.5' for the inlet and probably the same for the outlet. For the #6 feed line, how does it attach to the reservoir (using GN rad overflow) and pump? Is it non steel braided? I have a 3/8" barb fitting for the pump.

For the #4 disch line, I want to use steel braided. What would I use, AN fittings on the pump and nozzle or is it the push loc style?

How much for the hose? Thanks man.

The one coming from the tank I use steel braided teflon lined rubber that's alcohol compatible. If you have your pump mounted in the typical locations, I probably have them made up already. If not.. not a problem. I get them custom made all the time.

The pressure will use the the -4 with the plastic teflon and steel braid. The brass ends are crimp'd on a HYD press. So they will withstand anything you could ever throw at them.

Give me call.. i'll get a better picture of what your trying to do, and help you.

I do have my pump mounted in the typical location, I am just concerned about routing the hoses that is why I wanted to choose my own length.
The feed line is teflon lined rubber #6 (3/8"?) with a fiiting on one end and none on the other (for reservoir)?

The outlet is teflon lined plastic #4 (1/4"?) with a fitting on each end?

Can I install fittings if I just get the hose from you? Can I use a push loc and or aeroquip style? Thanks

I will call you maybe in a few days but in the meantime I thought I could get a little more info.

Paul,
The two typical places are the core support or the front bumper bracket. The front bumper bracket is a longer hose. As far as your push lock fittings..on the feed side, if the fitting is brass not aluminum..yes it will work. Steel is another no-no. On the pressure side, no you cannot use push lok fittings. Remember its a -4 line..like what is used for brakelines and such. And you do not want failures on this line. Why I suggest HYD crimp.. like what is done on brake lines. It makes it about as bullet proof and reliable as possible.

You simply get an adapter from 3/8 to -4 on the pressure. And a 3/8 to -6 on the feed. I use a 90 degree on the feed to point the hose forward.. The question comes in where you mount your nozzle and type of nozzle. I dont know if you'll be using the Hago style or NOS. Each has a different fitting and require a different length and fitting.

I suggest to use antenna cable since its diameter and flexibility is the same as the -4 line and run that from the pump to the nozzle and measure. I find that 41 inches will be about rite in either location for the pressure. and the feed will be either 19 or 32 depending on location.

Also dont know if you considered a filter as well.

You asked.. hope this helps.. I've done a bunch of these..the numbers seem to work ;) Hope you can reap the rewards put forth.
