"What about fish tank tubing?"

I've only seen rubbery, polyethelyne type stuff used in aquarium applications, it's all 1/4" or so, and it's gotta be semi rigid 1/8" OD black tubing or nothing.

Try any place that deals with big trucks parts like napa, they should have what your looking for .

Grainger has it. Nylon is # 4HM09, they have polyethylene too. Buy yourself a Grainger valve while you're at it...5Z763

Autometer sells 12 foot replacement length

Summit probably has autometer 12 foot length of 1/8" od tubing under the autometer gauge section.autometer part number 3226 > $7.50

Why can't I find this stuff anywhere?

Might try Copper 1/" tubing, and using neoprene hose for the connections.

Just saw some the other day at Advance Auto in the same isle with the vacuum hose and generic heater/vacuum/windshied washer tubing. Didnt know they carried til' then. I coulda used about two years ago when I snapped my original one on accident. HTH

YOU can compress the brass ferule onto the nylon or brass for a "HOSE BARB" , by leaving the female threaded cap Half of the fitting on the hose on each end.

Then use a larger 1/8 ID rubber hose to make the transision connections???

EDIT

Look in the HELP section of your local auto parts store - there are various diameters of black plastic vacuum line available, pre-cut to standard lengths, in packages, including 1/8"...

:)

I'll second that. My local O'Reilly's carries it on the same isle as the Help! parts. I've bought a couple different diameters there for various projects.
