Where can i purchase a new unit as they have been discontinued from GM. Kirban's had a bunch, but sold every one of them! I would like to buy new if at all possible. JOE

E-bay has had several up for sale recently. I bought my last one from there, and I ended up paying a heck of a lot more for it then I did back in 1997 when I needed the last one.. I'll probably convert to vacuum brakes next time it goes bad...

Fortunately, they do seem to last quite some time.

I noticed that gmpartsdirect has one for sale (#18038506), but this is not the one with the yellow sticker (i think its the original all black style). The one that is discontinued is part #18038507. Would i be alright if i order the 18038506 accumulator (all black)? Does any one know of any other difference between the two? Its a lot cheaper too (under $40). Thanks, JOE

Isn't the -06 number the old one and -07 the new one? The -07 I have is larger than the orig and has the hex on the end, yellow printing. I paid ~$125 I think for it, now it's ~$110 here: http://www.partszoneonline.com/contactUs.html
You might try Montgomery Automotive in MD, 800-505-1001. Computer shows 1 there but it sometimes lies. Or Jerry's Chevrolet shows 1 also in MD, 800-638-1419. I think the old #, -06 is discon now.
