Im looking to get upper control arm bushings and ball joints for the front end of my GN. Where is the best(and cheapest) place to get these? id prefer to get them locally, such as an auto parts store, id rather not orer them. also, how much should thi stuff run me?

I've used Standard brand in the past. Pricing? You'll have to call the store. It's definitely cheaper than the poly stuff and for a daily-type vehicle, the parts work fine. Remember that rubber rides more comfortably than poly. I didn't see the need to turn the car into a skid pad test vehicle though some won't accept any less.

get them from PST thats where I got the ones for my Regal I got them in like 2 days (they are in NJ)

Moog rubber stuff is all you need, quality stuff and reasonable.

Many local places can get it quickly but don't always stock it because it's higher quality yet still reasonable.

Gold series or problem solver stuff works great.

Just my .02.

I agree with Salvage. You can't get a better front end part than Moog unless you are ready to spend crazy money for some one off stuff. Their ball joints are what Nascar uses and you don't get any harder use than there. Mark

P.s. don't tighten your control arm nuts down all the way until your car is on the ground. That will set the pretention on the bushings to the right level.

I've had problems with PST in the past. I know everyone loves them, but I don't. JMO.

I'm with ya on that..

I use TRW - $11.50 for the upper ball joint, $6.50 ea for the control arm buchings...

dhauser, was it a quality issue or a service issue? I'm in the market myself for a front end re-build.
