Got my pump back from rebuild and seen that the ground wire has a little eyelet on it for putting in onto a bolt but, it's too small to fit anything inside of it's radius when I swing the wire around. Am I missing something? What should I ground this to?

I put a bigger ring on it and grounded it to the pump mount

^^^ What he said. I just cut the ring and made it fit around one of the mounting bolts. :)

I put it to one of the 5/16 screws that holds the mounting plate to the motor. I have in the past cut the o-ring and used a bumper bracket bolt. Not pretty.. but effective. This is one of those do as I say not as I do :D

Cut it, swap it, etc.. no matter. The ground is used for the LED switching from red to green. If your ground is good, when you push test you should see a red led condition on the turnon led. Once the ground is lost due to pressure on the switch, led changes to green.

HTH

I had a local mechanic tell me that it should turn to green when there's enough alky spraying, and if it never turns green, then somethings wrong. Well when I removed the pump to send it out, it would turn green when I hit the gas. Is that supposed to do that?

Yes, because there is no ground on the signal wire.

Actually LED should turn Red then Green. Without the pump it can only turn green indicating a problem. So you need both colors.

Keep your foot out if you dont have meth

I yanked 4 degrees of timing out of each gear, to replicate what non alky chips have when I'm out of meth.
But you're saying if everything's good to go with a full tank of meth, it should turn green to red when it's floored?

No.

Look its like this. 0-50 psi=red Green is over 50 psi pressure. When you dont have a pump plugged in there is no ground to make the red condition.

If your boost is turned down to 15 psi, you pulled timing.. you should be ok.
