Wheres the turbo?

Really nice 82 GN but I see the turbo is missing. Is the sellers story true that it came as a stock 4.1 or is he trying to get extra $$$$? All I see is a NA V6 under the hood.

yup. thats correct.

in 82 they were an NA 4.1

no turbo yet. Charlie's got one... look in the restoration section.

only a few came with the carb/turbo set up. most were the 4.1

Or the 307 Olds. Sad to say but true. If it's got a good 4.1 I have a spare carb/turbo set up not including manifolds if you're interested.

Thanks for clearing that up. I just found it kinda wierd that Buick didnt put the turbo 3.8 in it when they had it laying on the shelf. Ya learn somthing new every day I guess.

There are at least 35 turbo '82 GN out there.

Seems most were made in the latter part of the run. With the GN package and the turbo package, the price was nearly double the base Regal.


No 307's in 1982. They came about in 85 or 86 becuase there was a shortage of V6's.
