I've seen where it's been touched on but wanted a more modern opinion...which bumper fillers and why? I am in need of a complete set and need advice. Kirban or G-Body? or any other suggestions! Didn't want to go the $650 route on the Spool Fool ones since the car will be getting fresh paint soon.

I have the front G-Body ones and a rear Spoolfool one. The G-body ones are excellent quality as is the Spoolfool one piece rear. You won't go wrong with either one. I have not seen the Kirban ones myself so I cannot comment on them.

I was wondering when someone would start a thread like this. This should be a good one. :)

Happy spooling.

If you want to cheap out on the fillers, why did you even ask?

Anyone that is not concerned about quality and appearance, will just go with the cheapest.

You asked for opinions, mine is the cheap ones are crap, and the Spoolfool ones are the best.

Just so you know how I formed this opinion, in the past couple years I have done about a dozen GN filler jobs, and with all of them, including the cheap Danko crap, the Spoolfool comes out on top in looks, quality and overall cost. :)

HAHAHA I didnt think people still bought from Danko. With terrible quality and fitment to not getting products for 6-8 months I'm not sure how their still in buisness.

I just did both front and rear fillers and went with the GBody fronts and Spoolfool rear filler. The new Gbody fronts fit perfect and I don't think you can beat the look or fit and finish of the one piece rear filler that spoolfool makes. If you buy Gbody fronts I would suggest to buy it from Gbody's Ebay website under BWEAVY ($144.75 shipped).. I went through Gbodyparts.com and paid close to $175 for the same fillers..

You cant go wrong with Spoolfools fillers, a litte pricey but worth every penny, save your money and headache trying to fix the cheap ones you buy from someone else online, do it right the 1st time and go with Spoolfool's..

I actually just got the Gbody fillers in the mail yesterday and wasn't that impressed. I ordered them on March 1st and it took 4 weeks for them to get here and i had to call to followup on them once before they got to me. I went with what i found at the time to be the lowest price and should have spent a few more bucks. The mold might have been a little off on mine, when i pulled one of them out one of the curves (looks like this hides under the bumper though) in the mold had a little flat spot or something. (Wish i had pics here at work to explain this better) Also i could tell where they used the saw to cut off excess fiberglass around the edges that seemed like a rush job. I was also surprised there were no holes pre-drilled for me to mount the brackets to them either. Would be nice so I didn't have to spend the extra time and effort on these. I have no other comparison but my first glance was these were done on someones garage or something and didn't impress me. If and when I decide to paint the car i'll be buying a different set before body and paint. These will be temporarily while the car is in "project status".

G-Body had a few different types. The fronts I have are the OE Reproduction ones made of the same type of materials as the original OE ones.

Yep, i can see the difference in the picture. What you bought from them was more of what i expected. So moral of this story is i got the inexpensive ones and should have got the set you got.

Maybe i should have thought of this thread.... ???? hmmmmm. :(

Maybe you can still return them to GBodyparts if they haven't been painted? Give them a call...

I think some of the vendors sell them or you can PM the man himself (Spoolfool2) he posted earlier in the thread.
Thanks guys.:)
Right now, I'm the only one selling my fillers. Some day I may do vendors. If I do, it will be with other TurboBuick.com vendors.
You can PM or call me for shipping. (949) 433-1257 or just click on the links below to see detailed photos of what I'm selling.

So far I've had 100% positive feedback on both my front and rear bumper fillers.:)

Here's HD videos showing what they look like and how they install.

IMHO, buy bumper fillers from me or another vendor that supports this site. It's already been posted about Danko issues. I won't go down that road. I will say that you should not buy old originals. Or try and repaint your 25 year old originals. THEY WILL CRUMBLE... Soon...
Many people are buying my fiberglass one piece rear filler and buying Brian's (Gbodyparts) injection molded fronts and are very happy. I'm cool with that.

Happy Spooling.

I put the gbody rear fillers on last year. I really wish spoolfools were available then. I would have bought them in a heartbeat! The ones from gbody are okay but the spoolfool one piece looks sooooo good.
