I just bought an all stock 1986 T-type. (I stupidly sold an '87 8 years ago).
Basically, I was wondering if I could just make a chip change... nothing else (NO new injectors, exhaust, cam changes, etc.) to get a little more go power out of my car.

I would like to hear your advice/experiences with just a chip change. The name of the chip and where I can get them will also be helpful. Preferably ones that let the car run/idle like stock until you mash on the throttle. Please keep in mind that I will only be using 92 octane gasoline as well.
I wish I could add more aftermarket parts but I don't want to worry about the smog checks every 2 years.

Thanks!

Unless you plan on putting a real fuel pump in place of the tired stocker, along with a wiring kit, as a minimum.... I wuld just leave well enough alone.
