Ok, I'm thinking about dropping some $$$ for a hi-po downpipe, but I'm not sure which brand/size to go with. I'm trying to do this on a budget so cost should be a determining factor. Thanks again guys!!

Do you want an internal WG, or an external?

What size downpipe do you want?

What kind/size exhaust will you use with it?

What size turbo, and what other mods, do you have?

How do you use your car---race much?

What other mods do you plan on doing?

Do you have a "target" E.T.?

What kind of $ do you want to spend on a DP?

Answering these questions will get you the best answers!

:D
3" downpipe. A stock replacement from Kirban on a budget or get a THDP or similar if you have the bucks.

More important than a downpipe is to ensure the exhaust behind the downpipe is good.

My car picked up .4 and 4 mph going from a crappy exhaust to a good exhaust, but in back to back testing only picked up .05 and 1.5 mph switching from a SS Stock Replacement 2.5"/ported elbow and a 3" Terry Houston DP. I bought the elbow and pipe used for a $120 (about the going rate). This was well into the 11's, too.

A ported elbow and the stock downpipe won't be too much of a restriction if you still have the stock turbo/injectors and intercooler. A good downpipe will be faster, but as I found, not by much.

I love my Jet hot coated Kirban DP. 3" ported elbow too. The fittment is great and picked up a decent power increase for what can be considered a budget DP. :D
