Which one? Trying to keep cost down but I have a 3" DP coming so I want to do it all at one time. Also should i go for the test pipe or dump?

dump pipe. i really like my atr exhausts. they arent impossible to find you just need to pay up for them thats all.

A week ago I would have told you Pypes hands down. I have had dual 2 1/2" hookers, 3" ATR, a couple home made 3" dual muffler/cat pipes, etc. I just rode in a buddy's T Type with a stock motor and he had the RJC 3" single with the transverse muffler. I like his much, much better. Such a cleaner sound, and not as much drone as the Pypes, etc.

The dual 3 inch system that TR Custom parts sells is very nice. Fits great, and sounds great.

The only advise I can give to the OP is to decide wether or not you mind DRONE. There are many great options, but only a few keep the drone away. If you like it silent but deadly there is an option for the "3 muffler" set-up, but it can get pricey. I did my own silent set-up with a 3inch dynomax VT feeding a camaro style dynomax ultraflow and I love it. Just try to make the right choice that works for you so you only end up doing it once. Also, on the dump/testpipe deal, I would go with an electric dump and never look back.....

I dont care about drone this car is a weekend / occasional ride to work cruiser. I am looking for mean sounding and most importantly a good fit!

I first had the Pypes 2.5" aluninized steel duel exhaust and I really liked the way it sounded, but I didn't like how low the mufflers hung. So after it rotted out I replaced it with the RJC 3" cross flow exhaust and I really "love" the way it sounds. The install was pretty simple, the quality is outstanding and I don't ever have to worry about about replacing it since its made of 304 SS. I am even running a rear end girdle and have no issues. Hope this helps.

It will really come down to how loud you want it to be and, like others said, if you mind drone. Single shots will usually be louder. Hooker is on the quieter side while ATR is one of the loudest. I have a 3in down pipe and test pipe with a 2.5in dual ATR and its extremely loud and sounds awesome but drones like you wouldn't believe around 2000rpm. As far as test pipe vs cutout, depends on how often you think you would use the cutout. If you will use it often, use an electric dump. Otherwise keep it simple and use a test pipe.

If you have never experienced drone before you won't like it even on a occasionally driven car. I had a 3" single on my GN that I took off after a couple hundred miles.

dual 3" is quiet when capped dump and isnt too bad for neighbors at night but you can still hear the car from inside a brick house :)

I have both TR Customs and the RJC. Currently I am running the TR Customs and really like it. Wasn't to hard to install on my garage floor. The car I bought the RJC for is not running currently, so I cant give my opinion yet.

Can't say for sure which one I like - yet, since bweavy & co. is putting something on my WH1.

I said I'd take whatever he thought - as long as I didn't get drone.
He mentioned Pypes, and a couple of other choces, so I'm worried but not obsessively yet until I ride it.

I'd do a electric dump - if for nothing else than that's the time to do it, while you have it all cleaned up and ready for new.
Why come back later and have to wrestle off exhaust if you decide you'd like one.
It does add to the overall cost of things though.
A couple hundred here and there - is always the thing with these projects.
A dump for the street I think is mostly for show, and showing off. And ain't nothing wrong with that!

If you have a Cat. On your car Pypes is hard to beat.

No Cat. You want a single muffler behind rear axel to eliminate the drone.
