Which FM?

I checked the archives and couldn't find anything that answered some questions.

I have a new 3 pass radiator and dual fans and I'm only interested in a FM.

Between the CAS V2 and the PTEFM which one do you like? I know that the PTE is on sale, but I'm also looking for longevity and quality.

If you take the cost out of the equation, what are other positive or negative points? That's what I'm interested in.

Do they both have aluminum cores?

Are they both state of the art?

Are they both about the same weight?

Are they both stealth...like can the pipes be seen hanging below the air dam? Do they come in black? Why not? If not is it OK to paint them black?

I know the pipes for the PTE are aluminum, but what about the core? What about the CAS...Alumiunum core?

I'm looking for something that I won't have to mess with for a long time (tubing that won't develope leaks, etc.). I figure the performance of both are pretty close, at least down to the 10's...so I'm looking at other features that might make one more... "wanta buy"... than the other.

Ease of installation might be another big + factor. I know I could call, but I'd rather get opinions from purchasers. Is there another front mount that I might have overlooked, that is comparable to the two mentioned?

How about availability...and customer service?

Some will not utilize a vendor who abuses/ignores his customers...and other board members...rather cavalierly.

I waited 6 weeks for a CAS ft. mt. When i couldn't even get a hold of the guy I bought a PTE ft. mt. I LIKE it. It fit right in, no problems. I had the ft. bumper, and the grill off of the car because I was having it painted. I dusted the intercooler with some satin black paint and painted the 3in tubes with gloss black and it looks great. Glad CAS didn't send me one because I'm happy with the PTE and I SAVED $$$ too. Tarey D.
