New guy here!
I've been doing a lot of reading and research but still have a question. My car has a naturally aspirated small block V8 with a modest 270 rwhp, maybe 330 hp at the flywheel. I have a 200-4R with the D5 converter and 3.55 rear gears. I just bought the CK Performance shift recalibration kit and would like to get some feed back on the different accumulator set ups from others who have the kit.
One choice is to use a spring and piston , for applications up to 325 hp
The other choice is to block the accumulator feed hole with a cup plug. 325+ hp option.
If I block the feed hole with the cup plugs does it still retain the throttle sensitive shift firmness? Or will the shifts be the same firmness at all throttle positions?
I think it makes sense to start with the spring set up and then change to cup plugs later if needed. However, I also don't want to waste my time if the cup plug is the answer from the get go.
Thank you.
