OK, i did many a search here and on google and i am really confused. Can someone please clarify which line is the output on the tranny AND does the output mount at the top of the radiator or bottom? Also, which line at radiator goes to aux cooler? i saw the gnttype sketch which says top line BUT after searching it says that is the output from the trans?!? I thought the fluid would go through the radiator and then to the aux cooler, someone please educate me.

thanks in advance!!!!!!!

You put the aux cooler on the output of the trans before the radiator so the radiator will maintain some temperature control on the oil. If the aux cooler is after the radiator the oil temp will vary greatly with ambient temps causing oil viscosities to vary affecting shift feel among other things.

The fittings on the trans case are as follows .....

upper trans case line goes to upper radiator port, and lower trans case line goes to lower radiator port (top to top & bottom to bottom).

I suppose opinions vary....however I ran my external trans fluid cooler after the radiator. I figured if the external trans cooler will cool the trans fluid better than the radiator, then why have the trans fluid heat back up in the radiator before it returns to the trans.

I guess this is why many just run an external trans cooler and bypass the radiator all together.
