What are the best wires for a Turbo T with 123,XXX miles, a T49 turbo and a chip. It's nothing radical, just a good driver and I need new wires. Thanks.

Pretty much any wire will work. I used a set of accels that you can cut to fit but your standard bosch wires should be fine.

You can probably get by with a lot of different brands of plug wires, but MSD wires as made by Russ Merritt and as sold by both Russ Merritt and Race Jace at RJC Racing are the best, hands down. Not free but well worth it.

You can drop by your friendly GM dealer...the stock wires work just fine.

just get the liftime warranty ones from advance auto parts. Buy once and free every replacement after that. I replace every year

nothing better than factory ac delco wires from nos4gn , had russ merrit wires did not fit that well for me and broke , were a pain to put on and taking them off a pain in the but .

I mean for most apps any wire will work. I run the 10mm Magnacore wires from Cotton and they hold up and fit great. I've seen Russ's wires and they are nice too, but if your like me and you don't like to wait on things any name brand wire around you will hold up

I've never had a set that fit better than Magnacor R100's from Cotton's

+20 on the Magnecore's.

Got over 10 years on one set of the 10mm's and they still work great on my daily driver.

Same thing with my Kenne Bell wires in 8mm, one broke after 11 years so I bought some Magenecore's from Cottons.

Must be the red color. ;)

Use some dielectric grease. I just worked on a car that had a decent set on it but the boots were pretty much molded to the plugs. Broke a few taking them off:mad:

I like the Magnecors. They are pricey but a nice fit. I had mine for many years. Last set I cheaped out on, but they got the job done. I usually go to Autozone (thanks to that frequent shopper card and a relative that works there and hooks me up;) ). My ignition module, coil pack, wires, alternator, water pump, oil pump and few other things came from there. They work good on my car for some reason.
