Which rims to use for MT 235/60-15 Drag Radials: 15X7 or 15X8.5??

Should I use my stock T rims for the 235's, or would there be a benefit in using my 8" Vectors??

Haven't bought the tires yet and may go to the 255's....same question for them too.

I've got 275/50's mounted on my Vectors(8.5") and they fit/look great...I also have my BFG street tires(235/60) mounted on stock T rims....I'd think the 235/60 would look a lil odd on 8" wide rims, IMO :smile:

The 235's and the 255's will fit fine on the stock rim.
I'm going to put 275-60's on my stock 87 rim.

I have 8.5 rims on the back with a 4 inch backspace and I'm running a 295/50 with no rubbing issues. It's close to the frame, about 3/8 of an inch, but no rubs.

I run 255 60 15 M/T drag radial's on my stock 7" T wheels & they look, fit & perform well. The 27" height of the 255 60 seems to be a little better rpm match than the 235 tire also.

generally you can run +/- 1 inch on the recommended rims size. MT shows 8" for 235 and 255 , so 7-9" is fine
