Shift kit

Thanks for the reply. Please advise what your kit costs. I have no experience in auto trans. rebuilds but I think I can install a valve body and certainly can follow instructions. Was unable to connect via phone today.

129 and its an easy install if you are patient and careful, our manual on hand wouldnt be a bad idea either:cool:

I had never installed a shift kit on my own in my life. I bought CK shift kit and did it w/ ease. It works perfect too. Firm, fast shifts.

Chris, do you think your shift kit and big servo could fix a weakened shift from a lesser valve body? I'm looking to get a good BRF valve body to replace the generic one put in by Aamco. My BQ body still has a "stacked-shift" that comes back periodically. The 1-2 shift is decent but can't handle a WOT shift. The band will also lose its grip when you go WOT about halfway through 2nd. The tranny is a BQ model recently rebuilt with a competitor's shift kit, wider band and stock servo. The tranny was redone so many times with different valve bodies I think the guy might have mixed some springs up too. The other shifts are a little firmer during moderate throttle. I haven't beat on the car enough to go through the gears to see if all gears have trouble shifting under WOT, but the few times I have the shfits seemed to do good. BTW, does your kit come with a new plate as my stocker was thrown out due to the new kit having a pre-drilled one with it.
