Hey Steve,

What do you mean by not looking safe ? I was unaware that a trans pan gasket was a safety issue.

Perhaps you could rephrase your question

Hey George....

What I meant was that they didn't look like the greatest quality, have one now, just wondering if anyone was using something more definitive like Felpro and the such...

Fibre is the way to go

It is a fibre gasket. All we will use. Readily available from quality trans shops.

Steve,

I've had great success with a gasket I got from a friend who works in a transmission shop. I don't know the manufacturer but it's a metal core with cork bonded to both sides. It has been used over and over ( 4 times ) without leaking.

Perhaps the tranny gurus can shed some light on who makes them.

Thanks.....
