I'm building up a 68 Camaro with a GN engine. Engine has 218/218 cam, GN1's, 70 turbo, 75mm injectors, etc etc. I am confused on the differences between the 400 Turbo, TH400, TH350, 200R4. The 200r4 seems to be the most popular choice since it comes from the factory. I plan on puttin ga 3400 stall in it. This car will be running hi to mid 10 sec on slicks of course. Which transmission would you reccommend.... I will probably buy a used one thats already set up or builid it up. Please help me out guys!!!

200r4 would be my choice for your car and desired speeds.
Hope this helps, Kip

Kip is correct, a nicely built 200r4 (BRF code) with the proper billet parts will last all day in the 10s, plus it has the OD and lockup that you can't get with the turbo 350 or 400. If it's a strip only car, you could put a turbo 400 in it and get off a little cheaper but for a street driver, the 200 is the way to go. I would recommend getting the billet drum and input shaft for peace of mind when building one. We have a few people on this board that really know their stuff when it comes to balls to the wall 200R4s, get together with them and figure out the right combo for your car!

Hope this helps

Would agree completely with the 200-4R recommendation, unless your car is pure 'strip.

Mike Kurtz built the one in my car - the thing is amazing.
