thinking of replacing the turbo, not sure which one to go with. did the regular list of bolt-ons. 3 in dual flowmasters,3 in poston downpipe, adj fuel reg, cold air intake, and caspers chip with 7-settings. adj wastegate, stock injectors, stock intercooler. now thinking turbo next on the list. car will be driven often.my goal would be high 11s. so any feedback would be great. THANKS GUYS

seen the the te44 i like it. do you think the stock injectors will work, or changing them is a must.got a walboro 340 on the work bench now.going in sunday. what gains in hp do you think ill get with the 44? THANKS

what to do, flowers and candy for her on valentine day or new turbo? ------yep my other girl is getting a new turbo! thanks for the info

Stock injectors are 20 years old. Need I say more? 50's will support the 44 or the 49 very nicely. Don't forget, if you change injectors you will need to get a new chip. It never ends.

Whats up Dirtbag.. Man ive waited to say that for a long time

Keep the stock injectors,ic, and turbo if the turbo is in good working order....

You will only make more power with a larger turbo (44/49 ect) if you can turn the boost up past 21-23psi. (50 HP only if you have the octane to support over 21psi)

here is the point!!!

Get a meth kit and turn the boost up on the stock turbo, My daily driver runs low 12s on radials and pump gas.
YOU WILL MAKE MORE POWER WITH METH ON THE STOCK TURBO AT HIGHER BOOST THAN A 44 TURBO ON REGULAR PUMP GAS...

 Whats the point of running a larger turbo, buying a larger set of injectors, buying a larger convertor, JUST TO RUN LOW BOOST CAUSE YOU CANT AFFORD THE OCTANE???
I tell you what, i wouldnt praise it if i didnt love it, meth kit, eric chip, high boost, high timing, more power, bigger grin....Mine bone stock long block, stock turbo,IC,ING 356HP/556TQ drive it everysingle day, blow the tires at will and still leave off the streetlight off idle, can kill everycar ive raced for 2 years on the street....

I havent been getting responses, wanner@kc.rr.com

dont le tthe car leave you homeless. :D

I'm on my 3rd TE44 turbo in three diffrent GN's and I have had a blast with them. I ran 12.06@116MPH 3x's now  sure beats 13.6 but damn a 11sec run would be nice lol. but back to my point the 44 has made for a great street/strip turbo for my combo I would add that if you dont already own a scantool i.e. scanmaster save the money on a turbo and save yourself alot of time with the engine in the shop getting rebuilt and get one a must with this car.

Injectors50's), scanmaster, alky chip, alky kit. Leave the stock turbo alone unless it has issues. Ditch the multiposition and get one correct position chip :)

Bigger turbo will require a larger stall. The stock turbo will rock.. I'm with Bryan.

which chip should i go with?

Chip and injectors must match. Get a set of 50's, contact Eric@turbotweak.com, and let him know your combination.

He will need to know if your doing the alky or not.. as the fueling and timing will be different.

Yep, get some new injectors and the chip from Eric. First get a scan tool and some sort of knock detection/alert setup. Get alky as well and be able to keep your stock turbo and convertor and still blast off some easy low 12's and even faster with proper tuning.

One thing though I noticed, get rid of the restrictive Flowmaster muffs, those are terrible mufflers for turbo cars, need a straight thru design muff. There was a post just a few weeks ago asking how restrictive FM were, do a search and it should turn up.
