Yeah Full throttle and others sell them. I think they are the High "Z" ones. That way you dont need a modded ecm. If your ecm ever takes a crap, its easy to find another stocker.(Razor gave me this advice) You have quite a big cam there, are your heads ported? The 3000 stall may cause slower spooling on turbos like the 45A, PT-67(non-bb). Does spool up time mean alot to you?
His OP said nothing crazy like $1700 turbos...bb67 turbos are just that-more.
A 67 in a std bearing will be like $1200 shipped. Thats a lot of turbo, but your converter will be a bit tight for it. 3200-3400 would be about wright.
How much you want to spend? Just buy the biggest turbo you can afford. Keep in mind your converter stall. You know your cam is huge, but I would leave it and see how good it runs with a big turbo.
Iron heads and 224/224 in a 231 = no no. 60's for an engine that can swallow a 224, lol. Lol on the turbo recs without attention to the converter. My turbo rec is a 76HPS 4 bolt with a PTC 9.5". 80lbs/hr injector 76 HPS, and enough spring will make 9 sec power if you keep that cam. Id personally get rid of that cam and buy a journal 6176 turbo and a 9.5" PTC. Nice 10 sec streetable stuff.
First thing I noticed was cam was too large too, saw you're swapping it out, 210/215 Roller has been nice for me.
With your current mods, the biggest new turbo would be around a 62/62, if you upgrade the intercooler and are looking to push 30psi at the track, then consider the 62/65.
Not yet I'm deployed right now to Afganistan, but when I get back I'm going to start my restoration on my WE4, so I have been building a list of things I need to replace.
