Who else

I tend to get a bit more irritated by some other idiotic things that have taken place under "Dubya's" stewardship. Like soldiers coming home in body bags, tax cuts for people whom need it least...you know, little things like that!

I tend to get mad at people that seem to have so quickly forgotten that day barely over two years ago where we burried over 3000 of our fellow friends and neighbors. The people criticizing the war effort seem to offer no solutions on how to solve the problem otherwise. Have a nice day.

Well then, certainly nobody has forgotten 9/11! But please tell me specifically what exactly were the connections between 9/11 and Iraq, perhaps we can go from there on finding the best "solution" !!!!

What about "nucular" instead of nuclear. :D

Jimmy Carter has a degree in Nuclear Engineering and he says "Nucular"

It's probably a southern Governor thing.

Yeah. I'm pretty pissed that the Democrats added the 50 million people that don't pay any Income taxes to the list of people that get income tax cuts and Bush signed that bill.

How about a common thread of hatred for the United States among Saddam Husein and Osama Bin Laden? Now that we have that established, Iraq was a rogue nation (under Hussein) with the resources, financial and otherwise to either create or obtain (pay for) weapons which could easily be handed over to the terrorists. Sure, our problems are not over, but the Middle East and the rest of the world is a little bit safer without Hussein in power. The best solution is to do something, as opposed to nothing, which was probably done too long under Clinton. Supposedly, Clinton was given a chance to have Bin Laden handed over to him, and Clinton knew what a bad guy Bin Laden was, yet still chose to do nothing. My two cents......

Yeah you're right, poor people, children, cripples!!! These are truly the ones sucking the lifeblood out of our society!!! How dare they get a tax break!

Lager68... such an excellent point. I'm glad that you realize that that the contributions of the poor and "disadvantaged" pale in comparison percentagewise to what evil rich people are forced to give. Thus to be fair, people who give most should get back the most. Simple logic

I never said anything about Iraq having any direct correlation to the events of 9/11. That was your assumption about what I meant. Iraq may or may not have had anything to do with 9/11. Remember we are fighting a global war on terrorism, and Iraq is only one part of the picture.

With all the Iraq news, people seem to have forgotten that we have people on the ground in Afghanistan that are fighting to root out the terrorists where they live and train. So far it's been reported that 60% of the Al-Qaida leadership has been either killed or captured, and Afghanistan has been freed of the oppressive rule of the Taliban. That means there are 60% fewer of those Al-Qaida scumbags that can do us harm. Sounds like progress to me!

As far as Iraq goes, it was warranted for the U.S. to take action there as well. Iraq continually violated coalition enforcement of the No-Fly zone, made a habit of shooting at our aircraft, did not cooperate with U.N. weapons inspectors, and generally was a pain in the ass. I view this war as simply a resumption of the hostiliites of the first gulf war due to Iraq failing to live up to its obligations. Iraq is our enemy, pure and simple. Remember that picture during the war of two U.S. Marines standing in front of a mural that showed an airplane painted in Iraqi colors crashing into a building? That should tell you right there about the sentiment many Iraqis have towards the U.S. There may not be a smoking gun that implicates Iraq in the events of 9/11 but I agree with the President's policy of preemptive action. If five years ago the U.S. had gone to the U.N. and tried to make a case for war against Afghanistan stating that the CIA had evidence that Al-Qaida was planning to murder 3,000 Americans, who would have listened? But it happened didn't it? I say solve the problem before we have another 9/11, and that is exactly what the President is doing.

If I had my way, next on the hit list would be Syria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. Clean the whole mess up once and for all!
