I walked out the door spending 34 on mine, heres a little info on it...

The weather has been more forgiving then January so I've been trying to put some regular driving miles on it. The IRS is pretty neat/different, under load the back of the car squats. If you let the clutch out slow enough you can actually feel it. The driveshaft and halfshafts will have to be totally redone to seriously race this thing. We made 34" primary (1"3/4) long tubes for it and final result was 334RWHP/345FT LBS. That was with an air filter. With the molded intake, production headers, a cam and some heads I want to be at the 400 range, with tuning that should not be a problem. We are in the last years of production for the standard LS1/LS6 and really they are strong and more refined then the 98/99 motors, on average they do put down more power. With less than 20 miles on my own car it made 301RWHP 329FT LBS.
The neat thing about the car is how different they do things in AUS, the quality is much better than what I am used to plus the engine bay is not as intimidating. The rack behind the oil pan sucks for the headers but oh well. The car could have a high boost/high HP twin PRODUCTION turbo kit made for it. Plenty of room and a nice space for an intercooler.
As far as appearances go it does not look like a sports car parked between a 02 WS6 and a Z06 but it was not made to be such, think M3, and CTSv for the M5. I have ROH Strada wheels and BFH rubber along with some HID ballasts and bulbs going in my car to liven it up a bit.
To address that non-functional comment, if they slapped on a retro styled hood scoop for the 04 production the air would haven not been directed to the air box. The hood they have in testing does not either I believe (these are just rough mules right now). The WS6 hood is functional to an extent (it does bring in air, but not a sealed ram air setup).
If you don't like the way it looks then that's cool, I am totally anal when it comes to cars that try to impress me. Just don't call it a Cavalier... I can live with Grand Prix
After all its just a car ... I'm not going to have a heated debate to force it down anyone's throat
