just noticed today that the exhaust pipe that goes from the manifold up to the turbo is leaking- it burnt a hole thru the hood insulation and is bubbling the paint on the hood.
it looks easy enough to make a new pipe- but who sells a decent piece at a decent price?

ATR made a awsome pipe now i think JAYSGN Jay's Grand National, T-Type, GNX Performance Parts and Repair is the only one who sales them. be carefull with the one you have you said its bubbling the paint on the hood dont run the car anymore. my car caught fire from the very reason got a leak in the up-pipe and it caught the hood insulator on fire. That damn pipe almost destroyed my car.

that up pipe is spendy.. but it looks nice, and can only increase exhaust flow over stock.
but i found a good temporary solution using a $10 part i bought 4 years ago for something else..
i cut all the braided covering off the pipe, and put a stainless steel exhaust band clamp around it. no leaks. tomorrow, i'm gonna go get some header wrap to cover the pipe, and make a heat shield for the hood.

I am running a Jays Gn uppipe which runs great. When your patch fails give me a call. I have a stock uppipe for sale. Good luck- Brad

that's for the offer to sell me an up pipe- but if i'm going to replace it, i'm going to get something that allows it to breathe a little better.
tomorrow, i'm taking a road trip to visit my cousin and his family, and i'm gonna stop into the place that makes all the house brand exhaust kits for Summit and Jegs and see if they can't whip me up a new pipe using the stocker as a pattern.
i'm thinking a couple of mandrel bent stainless 90 degree bends with the proper flanges with a joint in the middle to allow for movement, since i won't have the car there and will only have the up pipe.
maybe- just maybe- they will then offer it as a replacement part, since it is a rather simple looking chunk of pipe...
