I installed a blowoff valve today , i hooked it up on the pipe that runs to the intercooler to the TB . I also ran a vac line to a tee in the line that supplies my vac block with vac it comes from the intake manifold. It is hooked up before the one way valve , so is it going to be in a vac or under boost , i dont get how the vac lines work . It seems to be sucking air when i rev the motor and blowing it out when i stop reving it. it seems to be blow off in the air filter still , i cant even hear the blow off if i have it hooked up right.

any help would be great

come on guys , i know there is some one out there that can help.:)

not a common or necessary thing on a TR...my best advice is get rid of it! (just another source of aggravation and does nothing....)

I tee mines off the fuel pressure regulator vacume line. I would start to do a few turn in to tighten the spring for the bov and work from there.

Its a stock one off a eclipes my buddy gave me , its not a adj one. That would probably be the problem. I would need a good one that adj i guess , is this why its sucking air .

thanks for the help

Can you fell the air sucking in? Also maybe you turbo is leaking oil that not making a good seal at the bov.

Yea your right i never thought of that, the turbo is pretty new but i think my pcv valve is leaking oil back, i had some oil comig out of the end of the bov.

thanks good thinking:)

stock eclipse valve is junk prone to failure and will not hold the boost #'s most of use run on the GN's junk it by an HKS SSBOV I have it and it is perfect hooked to fuel regulator

You have a 2g Eclipse BOV, and those are junk. A 1g Eclipse blow off valve that is modified or crushed will work well with high boost. That BOV you have definitely won't work.

well it was worth a try , thanks for all the help guys , i will take it off and buy a good one or just leave it off and not run one.

thanks again
