I've run race gas and slicks on other cars and this spring I'll be doing the same with the Buick.

When its warm and I have a car to drive to work and school, The Gn stays on a steady diet of 110 to 116. Slicks are fun on the street with these cars (when dry). Its amazing to leave a stoplight at 12psi next to some duetchbag who thinks he has a chance.

Oh well, have fun and be safe.

Its fine so long as you keep the tires aired up around 25# or so.I have done it too.

I do it all the time.. Dont even have street tires for the car. I keep the slicks around 28lbs, cant even tell they are there except when I launch like I did to a mustang guy the other day.

With that much air in the tires, you are really streching them. If you do this on a constant basis of airing them up that high and lowering them, they won't work..........or worse fail on you. Straight from M/T tech

Goes for any kind of Drag Tire, ET Street, ET Drag, Hoosiers.

I like to run my ET streets on the street. I usually run about 15 PSI in mine and have been doing it for years with no problems, I also dont run tubes either like you are supposed to.

The only thing that sucks is when it rains its like driving on ice!!

I run ET's all the time. As little as I drive the car, I don't think I'm putting too much stress on them @ 20 psi.

15PSI on Hoosier's Slicks C16 and 25-28PSI of boost all year long.

I like to always stay in Kill Mode:D

All or nothing I say:eek:

I have no problem running slicks and C16 on the street. I have such a better time when i do;)

I run M&H cheater slicks wherever I go with 25 psi in them and air them down to 14-15psi at the track. 1.5x's consistantly w/100% stock suspension.

Not to get to off topic, but M&H racemaster has been the best tire I have ever ran on a race car period. I dont know if its the compound or just the design in general, but they hook better than my hoosiers or M/T's ever did. I am getting a pair of the street radials from them soon.

m/t 26x11.5x16 et street 20psi in them no tubes and 110 octane all year around o ya 25pds boost also getting rdy to turn it up a lil more! i love murding cars on street kill mode also here all the time!!!!!

Love to be in kill mode also. Too much fun! I love when somebody pulls up next to me at a stop light, knowing that their lane is going to end in 300ft. i just wait a sec....then launch and blow their doors off. Poor soccer mom never been so scared. :D

How are you guys running race gas all the time without changing out the O2 every tank of gas?? I want to run race gas all the time too since 110 is cheaper than the 100UL I run now.

Sometimes you get lucky and get 100-200 gallons of leaded fuel before failure.....sometimes it is insta-check engine light. I found a place that offers lifetime replacement on 02sensors for like $10 more. They will regret ever offering me that:D

Wow you must be pretty serious to drive slicks on the street!

What a waste of $4.89 a gallon to run Race gas for errands.

Try about $7.00++ for C16. Having fun is sometimes expensive. Most people with fast TRs have at least three cars. Truck for towing, econo-car, TR. I have five cars. I only drive my GN when it's time to play! See?:)

i have a heated 02 sensor with a denso on it havent had it go bad in 2 years..2,000 miles still going race gas only also 4.59 here yeah its exspensive but its worth it when u get that cobra or lightning or vette..etc....u get it !!!!
