who makes the best alky set up? also i only want it at the track so is there a kit out where you just arm it like nitrous? thanks
jerrad

You dont arm alcohol kits, its automatic. No button needs to be hit.. unless you want to control it that way.

I'm biased who I think makes the best :D

i dont mean i want to hit a swith just to spray the alky. i mean when i want it can i turn it on from inside the car and when the boost builds it will inject automatically? thanks for the help

My suggestion is do some reading in this section, do some research, contact vendors.. then make your decision.

There are three ways its done typically.

Fixed point whereas at "X" PSI it fires the pump at a preset pressure.

The other is a multistage whereas you utilize a couple solenoids to fire a couple nozzles at different boost levels.

The third is a progressive which as the boost rises increases the rate of flow out of the pump.

Then you have types of pumps, types of nozzles, ease of installation, etc to consider.

And lastly always weigh in reliability in your decison.

Some argue that a fixed point on a track car is all thats needed. Some say a multi-stage is better. And others like myself say a progressive is best. This is part of your research, so you can be at peace with yourself after you have made your decision.

This is a technical forum, I wont do mine against anyones debate. That ultimately is the buyers job :)

What Razor said is very correct.

You do need to assess your goals and what you need and want out of a kit as well as your skill level with perhaps DIY or partial DIY being a possibility, as well as asking if cost will be factoring into your decision.

Would be nice to know your goals as well as car and mods. and setup.

Not sure why you would not want it on the street as well?

Most kits are seamless these days and work well at any and all boost levels you can run with the combo with no ill effects.

i have a 87 t type with kn9inch filter reds 93 chip cat back duels and adjustable fuel regulator. ive ran a 14.33 at 95. i dont want it on the street because my friend had it and would spin at 45 mph and i like to street race and dont want to get beat by any stangs because of loss of traction
thanks jerrad

I think you need to invest in better tires. A good set of drag radials with a Posi will stop that problem.. till your in the 10's. At mid 14's and 95 MPH.. you have a ways to go.

Just my .02.. and if you think its spins now..wait till you up the boost.

Get your driveline in check first, then make power. Making power you cant control is foolish and endangers both yourself and whoever is next to you.

Put some octane, get your traction sorted out.. when you have the car running low 13's high 12's you'll be ready for a kit.

Jeeeze....now I am worried you will sabotage my kit! It will be set to flow an amount just under what I need to show the TTA some "granny-mobile" tail lights :D hehehehehehehe

My new turbo isnt all that huge, buts its a substantial step up in size over the old one which was a TO4E 50 trim. That was a great turbo (very responsive on this engine), but it would run out of breath up top and could hold boost. I ran it as high as 32 psi boost, but it would drop off into the 26 psi range with rpm. But, at 23 psi it was enough to move my barge to 117 mph...not far behind you sucker!

The new turbo will effectively be a T61 compressor side paired to a T3 turbine section. Thats why I got your kit. This thing will eat alot more fuel than the 50 trim and my goose will be cooked if I dont add alot more fuel somewhere. I like the way methanol smells :D
