Hey guys, sometime this winter I would like to purchase a chip from one of our vendors. Here is my combo as of now

Stock 87 turbocharger on my hotair (soon)
Hooker exhaust
ATR downpipe
Uncracked manifolds
87 coilpack setup, ECU
Translator with 3.5" mandrel bent intake
kirbans slightly stiffer valve springs
Hotwire, warlboro 340
FP gauge
OTC 2000 (make sure everything is kosher)

This is about it. i am not expecting enormous increases in HP over stock, but would like to think my time and money was worth something.

I was considering the ramchargers chip, but am not sure my MAF will need to read such high numbers!

Hhmm....do you have a boost gauge, scanmaster, adj fp reg, adj wastegate, k&n? Those werent listed and are kind of important, especially when you turn up the boost.

good call.you guys are learning:).

as far as chips go,you're right about the extender chip being overkill at this point.as far as i know bob will still burn you a regular(non extender)chip for your combo.you could also get one from jim testa, joe lubrant or get a thrasher from scott simpson(only $25).

later,sean

Thanks guys,

BTW, i have all the other stuff listed. Just forgot!

I kind of disagree that the extender chip is overkill...My stock 85 motor/turbo while it was still a hotair would peg the MAF at WOT without any problem...TurboBob shouldn't have any problem doing the chip cals for your setup, and then later if you step up to bigger turbo, etc., you would already have the extender chip...

JMO...

I have found on my hot air that Red's chips with the 87 ecm work really well. Haven't had much luck with any of the other chips at this point. They seem to have a pretty good handle on the hot air.
