Whose WH1?

Curious whose WH1 this is. More specifically I would like to ask the owner if this is the factory silver paint mix or a variation. I am getting my WH1 painted right now, and wouldn't mind this shade...

WOOHOO! that's mine!

that shade is actually a custom from PPG...I can't remember exactly what it was called. For some reason quicksilver comes to mind. He told me it was based off of the Corvette color Steel Cities Gray from the 70s.

I wanted something with more metallic and a little lighter than the factory stuff.

Also, do yourself a favor and have them paint the stripes in, it will look 100% better!

Wow that was easier than I thought, i didn't think i would find out who had it. When you say it is custom from PPG, do you mean it was custom for you or one of their standard colors? Quicksilver you say...hmm i gonna see if i can dig it up.

I found a "quicksilver" color vette. This appears to be a factory color for GM. Just wondering if this is the same...

I was a PPG color, but not made just for me. I have a few other pics...I will e-mail them to you!


I am not trying to sell, but I would entertain offers. They guy who painted it offered me $14K for it....I didn't bite on it then because it would be wrong to sell a freshly painted car that you have been waiting for so long to get done. E-mail me if you are interested though!

small world--when I had my T-type painted, I went with a "corvette silver"

However, I don't think mine is the "quicksilver", it's not as light--but it IS a lot lighter than the factory color...
