Why are the GSCA Nats going to be the Buick Musclecar Nationals next year?

Back in the early 90's it use to be on the same weekend as the Derby. Was there a reason they switched ????

I always remember it being not as hot then.
A passing shower but not pouring.

Is there more information about this event, photos, history, etc...

How many racers? is it just for racing? where can I find out more about it, BB...

What kind of turn out does it have? is it simliar to the Nationals?

Do the fast cars like Rod and Anderson team and many more from the Nats make it to this event.

Is this event sponsored by GSCA or affiliated with GSCA... The only thing I know of or heard about this is what is posted on GSCA website at the top, where and when!

Just checked the Calendar and I see it is home game for Green Bay Packers and the middle of the NFL season.... work gets pretty hectic around Sept - Jan.

Guess I was wondering about earlier time of year? Aug or Sept

BTW is it hot in GA in November? or all year long

85 degrees in Green Bay this week, it is HOT! and SWEATY too...

i've only been to it once, last year....its just racing
pretty small event, out in the middle of nowhere, kinda between macon and columbus, ga....1hr 30 min to 2 hrs south of Atlanta

it was and usually is in the mid 50s-60s

Funny you say that,I would rather them up the daily prices 10 a day,then add a 50 reg fee.
**** with all those 50 reg fees why are the payouts so low?

Registration fee schedule will be changed for next year.

There is a plan to attract major sponsors, and more supporting sponsors, for next year which of course will be used for additional race payouts.

I like the May date anyway. I just hope it is the third or forth week of May because of school finals for my sons.

I have always had a good time in Reynolds Ga. each year, it is a very friendly track. I hope the fall event will continue in Reynolds.
They host several other larger events.

Exactly. Finals are mostly all of May and graduation is then too.

Cecil,GA-Fantastic new track at the GSCA's back door. Better than Renyolds,lots of paved area for vendors/car shows etc.

I decided not to go this year because of the rediculous non-clubmember fee. It made it seem more like a "club" type event so I felt more like an outsider. I could have afforded it easily, but that isn't the issue. It seemed there wasn't an interest in bringing in outside people to the car show and such... Just my .02
