Why does oil leak from valve cover breathers.

Engine has 8000 miles and I know the rings are good as the oil stays golden all the way to 3000 miles and oil only comes from the breather if I run 0-30 and it is full up. If its down a quart (valve cover leak) no oil from breather. But I get the occasional drip from the K&N filter on the driver side and just wondering what's causing that.

Lots of oil spray in the valve covers.

Find a tight fitting hose and jam it into the hole on the breather filter. Cut it off where it sticks down an inch or so (just don't let it hit the head casting).

That will keep oil from having a straight shot at the filter media but still act as a vent..

I have the TA breather baffles that stick down and it still comes out.

Earl, what kind of hose are you talking about. I'm not following
