My fuel pump is not priming. My fuel pressure gage is showing no pressure.
My scan master turns on but dies after the 2.1 comes up. I cant flip through any of the readings.

The car had sat for a few weeks and when I drove it to the gas station it died a couple of times. When I left the gas station it died and would not start.

I replaced the starter a while ago. I just had a fan delay relay get stuck which drained my battery because the fan was on all night. I have a volt booster that visually looks good. I checked all the fuses and they look good.

Whats my problem? Thanks in advance.

Some hot wire kits are also fused, esp the newer ones.Might check that first.Check all alternator connections.Im assuming you hear no fuel tank pump running?Any voltage present at pump connections? The stock fuel pump wiring has alot of connections from front of car to back, you may have corrosion or mouse to wiring damage.Even if fuel presure relay is bad you should get pump to run w/engine oil pressure.Car will crank longer until oil pressure is reached.

if you have a hot wire kit check all the relays on it mine whent out the one by the gas tank in the backcheck it and also be sure the fuel pump still works

don't mean to hijack the thread, but i have a quick question about the FP priming. i had the hot wire bypassed until i recently replaced the burned out relay and hooked it back up. now i don't hear the pump priming when i turn the key to on like it used to while bypassed. then i read this on the Vortex site:
That leaves one wire to be connected. Run a wire from the fuel pump test connector just behind and below the alternator to the trigger terminal of the new relay. This allows the normal two second activation of the the relay when starting the engine. That's all it takes.
can anyone explain exactly which connectors need to be wired together? i have three open plugs right around the alternator area and none are connected to anything, so i assume this is my problem.

Another area to check!!!

Here is another area to check. Apply voltage to the fuel pump test wire (behind alternator) and see if the pump goes on. If it doesn't, leave the voltage attached and go in the trunk on the drivers side wheel well, there is a cluster of wires with a funky connector, wiggle these wires and see if the pump comes on. I had a loose connection there and it was shutting the fuel pump off. Also is the stock fuel pump relay good???

I just got mine running yesturday and it was the FP Relay on the rear bumper

Granted your connections to your scanmaster are properly connected and the scanmaster works, then if it's not reading anything you have an ECM problem. Check the connections to the ecm, check that your chip is properly seated, change the chip if you can, check the ECM fuse, and make sure the orange wire in the engine compartment is plugged in correctly.

Fuseable link is bad

I think I broke the fuseable link that provides power to the ecm.

I think when I replaced the starter I let the thing hang by the wires.

The scanmaster gets power but no signal from the ecm. All of my lights come on (ie volts, seat belt) but my check engine light does not come on so the ecm is not getting power. The fuses to the ecm are good.

Has this happened to anyone else?
