Damn this sucks...Tomorrow I'm picking up my first TR and I'm sick as a dog...I have to drive it like 2 hours, plus I have to ride up there...This is supposed to be a wonderful time in my life, something I'll remember forever.

86 T-type, In PA...Nicest guy selling it to...we made an agreement (4000 if he reassembled it) and the next thing I know he fixed the AC, put in a new headliner, got the broken header panel fixed...I don't know what came over him, but I'm not complaining...Price is the same.

That's cool....have you seen the car yet or are you buying it over the internet? How far are you driving from?

I went and drove the car a couple of weeks ago...I'm in Delaware, so it's about 2 hours if you're somewhere close to the speed limit...Car has 67,000 original, only bad thing is it's in primer (he was going to paint it), I don't mind though I'm more interested in quarter times then the paint...Oh and the car drives like it's brand new, I drove a 35,000 mile GN that wasn't this tight...Oh and it's a column shift bench seat :( ...Which is the worst part, but I can deal.

DOOOD- the column shift bench cars are the shizzle my nizzle-

talk about sleepers, all you got to do is stick it in D and fagiddaboutit, noone will know what hit em-

heck, 2 of mine have T-BRAKES and column shifts with bench seats, got to love it cause you can fit one more skinny chick in the car:D

Just think when you get there you will feel all better.
That is the effect the Dr. Buick will have on you :D

Always beware of nice guys selling used cars . . . lets just say my GN project ended up being much more of a project (searching for parts, interior stuff, etc)

Hopefully everything goes smoother for you than me.

Thanks guys...I'm feeling much better now anyways...I figure if it breaks UPGRADE!!!

Hey I got her!!! Ran great and she likes to rip tires clean apart let me tell ya!! I have some Q?? for you guys though, I will post in General Tech also.

Spark plugs..heat range, part number, brand?? I'm sure this is contraversal.

I'm going to do the spring cleaning, is there anything else I should do??

I plan on changing the fuel filter, plugs, doing spring cleaning, wiring up a manual fan switch and maybe a new thermostat tomorrow, I want to go to the track Mon...Maryland International has test and tune all day on Labor day, sweet huh?? Only bad part is it'll be in the heat of the day and it might rain :(

my advise to you......... what ever you do....DO NOT.......I REPEAT...

DO NOT convert that sweet ass bench seat column shift to bucket/consil.

every time a bench/column car is converted to bucket, i cry

gotta realize, part of what makes that car so special is that it dosent need that hokey bucket seat consil shift stuff to be fast :D
sorry GN guys ;)

OH and PS: post pics as soon as you can! not many TR's in primer
that i have seen :)

To tell you the truth the bench seat has grown on me already, that thing is confy.

Good. My T-Type came with a 60/40 bench. And I bought a brand new blue console and was going to buy the buckets when I came to the same conclusion you and Killr have.

The bench is cooler than buckets...lol. And more comfortable. So I left it alone. Glad I did.
