I'm not sure if I'm getting false knock or not. I have a TT 6.1 alky chip with wot correction currently turned off, no other adjustments made to the chip. You can see in the log that if I suddenly get on the gas quickly the knock sensor goes off showing over 14 degs kr, but if I slowly roll into the gas there is no knock. Could it be bad gas? Fuel filter? Obviously I don't want to keep my foot in it to see if the knock goes away so I'm not sure if it's false.

There is no tire spin when this occurs. I've been going over the log and can't spot anything obvious. Immediate knock when I punch the gas but 02's look normal. BLM's look good. Could this be a sign of a failing coil pack or module? Anyone? Any input is appreciated.

Yes I have an LC-1 wideband but I currently have wot correction turned off because the wb is showing 22.2 a/f ratio and sometimes showing 7.4 and I'm not sure why. It hasn't been installed very long but worked well at first. The wb voltage in the data log stays around 4.9v I believe. I also recently switched from a standard wg actuator to an hd wg actuator and I see the boost seems to spike when the knock occurs and boost adjustments aren't as reliable as before. I need to do the map powerlogger mod on vortexbuicks because boost on the powerlogger always reads higher than my gauge.

something's screwy with your 02's. For the first minute, the engine's warmed up but the voltage isn't dancing back and forth. After they start dancing, sometimes they'll flatline without being in lean cruise or DFCO... at 196 second's you go into leancruise yet the 02's are still cycling like normal. I've never seen the red so thick at the 230sec mark, then at 236 is goes rich as hell for no reason....

I've noticed when the 02's are stuck either high or low and not making sense the INTs and BLMs are solid 128's.

at first I wanted to ask if the 02 was newish (and not a bosch), then I wondered if you were having fuel delivery problems... Now I wonder if the chip needs reseating and if any of the legs have corrosion on them.

I wish powerlogger could show more than 4 graphs at a time

It would be nice if you had a fuel pressure transducer hooked up to powerlogger

The factory location o2 is the heated o2 sensor kit from caspers purchased less than a year ago. I just upgraded to the 6.1 chip and 60lb injectors less than 2 months ago. I wish I had a 5.7 chip for 60lb injectors that I could swap out. I've got lots of 5.7 chips for my old 42lb injectors. I've already removed and reinstalled the chip prior to recording the data log. I've also recently installed replacement battery cables with new ones from caspers, but voltage seems fine. Wow the 02's are thick at 230 sec. Wish I could see more than 4 graphs at a time also.

That's something else I'd like to do... if possible. I have an autometer electric fuel pressure gauge with the sensor installed on the rail.

Not sure where you are in Hou, but I have a TT chip for 60's you can borrow. I'm up near Tomball. Pm me if you want me to drop it in the mail or meet up somewhere. It's burned for 93 and stock everything else. I can't see your sig, so not sure if it'll work for ya.

Just tap the signal wire. I think turbobob has a calibration for the autometer sender.

FWIW I had a LC-1 do that. A new sensor fixed it for a while but it may be in the process of going tits (Giggity) up

HouTX87, pull the plugs and check them for speckling. If the detonation is light it will show up as black specks on the center porcelain. If the detonation is bad enough, you will see silver specks from the piston crowns melting. There are some pic's on my web site (see sig).

Ok I will do that. I changed the fuel filter today and filled it up with fresh gas. Still the same problem. Should I order a new O2 sensor or maybe a new 5.7 chip? I'm also thinking about taking the HD actuator back off.

I'm beginning to wonder if the alky system isn't coming up to pressure quickly enough. Even on the roll-into-the-throttle times the knock sensor is being tickled. It may be that the engine is just right on the verge of knock, all of the time in boost.

And the alky is the only thing from preventing it from getting out of control.

If the TT chip can do what I think it can, pull 1.5 to 2*'s of timing out. See if that at least reduces the reported knock.

When you roll into it do you get knock at the shift ? Because it's possible to get false knock from broken motor mounts , tranny mount, or any other metal on metal contact when the motor torques hard and fast like when you punch it or at shift points.
